Become a Te Whai Volunteer

Join our fabulous Te Whai volunteers and become part of a community based organisation that utilises your individual skill set and abilities.

You may be interested in assisting with events such as Matariki, providing driving lessons for a learner driver or offering companionship to an a elderly person each week. Volunteering for even 1hr a week can make a huge difference to the life of another member of our community.

We'll provide you with all the necessary training, support and opportunities. We look forward to having you join our mighty team of volunteers!

Volunteer Application Process:
3-4 times a year we hold Volunteer Intake Days where volunteering opportunities are discussed and a range of training takes place (confidentiality, boundaries and deescalation) plus you'll receive a tasty lunch. ;)

Our Volunteer Intake Days for 2024 are: Feb 8th, May 9th and August 8th from 10.30 - 1.30pm.

You are welcome to complete your application form and police vetting anytime during the year. Our admin team will contact you to confirm your attendance at the next Volunteer Intake Day closer to the time.

  1. Please fill out the Te Whai Community Trust Volunteer, Mentor and Te Whai Sage application form below

  2.
